Future Advisory: staging review and go-live approval. 16 Oct 2026
Hi Bec, staging is ready for you to review. We’ve worked through your 16 October feedback and the four follow-up notes, and everything is listed below with links and screenshots. Nothing has changed on the live site. It stays exactly as it is until you approve go-live.
Each item shows your request, what we changed and where to see it. Items marked “Kept as approved” are things you signed off, which we’ve left exactly as they were.
☑
Salt Lab: remove Perry and use “Jase and the team”
Done
What we did: Updated the Salt Lab summary and both mentions in the case study; the Salt Lab page still opens as normal.
Testimonial: Ven Agency (/services/accounting-and-tax/; same on all four service pages)Testimonial: WLKR (/services/accounting-and-tax/; same on all four service pages)Testimonial: Social Manna (/services/accounting-and-tax/; same on all four service pages)

☑
“Is it possible to get this specific ‘contact us’ link to go to the Cloud Accountants group, rather than the Everyone group?”
Done
What we did: The Contact us link in the Xero/Payroll FAQ now opens Our Team with Cloud Accountants already selected (five people). Everyone is still available.
Melbourne CBD office page: contact details were missing
Done
What we did: We spotted the Contact information on the Melbourne CBD office page was blank, so we filled in the same address and phone number shown on Locations. We left the hours blank, as you asked for that office.
Before: blank contact block (/office/melbourne-cbd/)After: address and phone (/office/melbourne-cbd/)
2. On go-live
These steps happen at cutover, only after you approve. They aren’t on the live site yet. They come from our launch readiness pack (mid-October 2026, reviewed 14 Oct 2026) and are there to protect your existing Google search traffic and enquiries while the new design goes live. Some short-term movement in search is normal after any redesign, so we’ll keep a close eye on it.
☐
Backups firstOn go-live Take fresh backups of the live site (database, theme, uploads and settings) and test that we can restore them before anything changes.
☐
Your live content stays yoursOn go-live Bring the new design across without overwriting live enquiries, form entries, users or any edits you’ve made on the live site since staging was set up.
☐
Page addresses keptOn go-live Keep existing page and article addresses wherever possible. Your top articles (for example the vehicle logbooks guide, which brings in about a third of current search clicks) keep the same address and title.
☐
Redirects for anything that movedOn go-live Set up permanent (301) redirects from every old address that has moved straight to its new page, configured for the live domain and tested before release. This includes the 2025 fringe benefits tax article pointing to its 2026 version. We keep redirects in place for at least a year, and ideally for good.
☐
Old PDF downloads keep workingOn go-live Ten older PDF downloads have moved. We’ll keep their original links working by pointing each one to the identical file.
☐
Search descriptions for key pagesOn go-live Add short, accurate search descriptions for Book a call, Industries and the industry pages, including Healthcare. Successful article titles stay as they are.
☐
Search engines switched on for the live site onlyOn go-live Allow Google to index the live site, with every page pointing to the live domain. Staging and preview addresses stay hidden from search, and pages that are meant to stay out of search (such as some archives) stay excluded.
☐
Sitemap and Google Search ConsoleOn go-live Check the live sitemap is complete and valid, then submit or refresh it in your existing Search Console property once the final checks pass. Because the domain isn’t changing, no change-of-address request is needed.
☐
Analytics and enquiry trackingOn go-live Keep your existing Google Analytics and tag set-up. Once we’ve agreed with you how to test it, run one enquiry test to confirm it’s counted in analytics and actually reaches your inbox.
☐
Domain, HTTPS and cachesOn go-live Keep the security certificate (HTTPS) and the usual www/non-www and HTTP→HTTPS forwarding. No DNS change is needed if hosting stays the same. Clear the live caches after release.
☐
Monitoring after launchOn go-live First hour: check top pages, redirects, PDFs, sitemap and the enquiry path. First 48 hours: errors, old-address hits, analytics. Days 3–7 and weeks 2–12: Search Console clicks, indexing and leads compared with the pre-launch baseline.
☐
Rollback plan readyOn go-live If something critical breaks, we can roll back the design and settings quickly without losing any enquiries or edits received after launch.
3. Still open with you
These are waiting on content from your side. They don’t hold up go-live and we can add them afterwards, unless you’d like them in before launch.
☐
Adi bioWaiting Left blank as you asked. We’ll add it once you send the copy.
☐
Adi LinkedInWaiting Left empty while Adi is on leave. Just send the link when you have it.
☐
Angelica bioWaiting Left blank for now. Her LinkedIn is already added (see above).
☐
Jen Hathaway bioWaiting Not included in your last reply, so her existing blank bio is unchanged.
☐
Victoria’s future blogs / case studiesWaiting We haven’t created anything yet. We’ll add them when the articles are ready.
